These terms cover the Yes Chef Food Fest app and nothing else.
Buying a ticket is a separate agreement. Entry, refunds, prohibited items, conduct at the event, the photo release and the liability waiver are all in the festival's own Ticket Terms & Conditions, which you accept when you buy. Nothing here changes those.
THE DEAL
The Yes Chef Food Fest app is a free companion to the festival. It shows you the timetable, an illustrated plan of the lot, the lineup, the six free tastings and a collection of stamps you fill as you eat. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
YOUR ACCOUNT
You must be at least 13 years old to have an account.
You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your sign-in method secure.
One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone.
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time: SETTINGS → ACCOUNT → DELETE MY ACCOUNT. It is permanent.
YOUR STAMPS
Your stamps are yours. They live on your account so they survive a new phone, and nobody else can see them. We use them for one thing only: showing you your own collection and counting what you have tasted.
Stamps are a souvenir. They are not a ticket, not a voucher, not proof of purchase and they carry no cash value. Holding a stamp does not entitle you to anything at the festival.
THE FREE TASTINGS
The six ★ free tastings run at set times and, for most of them, while supplies last. The app tells you what is scheduled. It cannot promise that food will still be there when you arrive, that a queue will be short, or that a vendor will not run out early. Vendors, menus, prices and times can change on the day without notice.
THE LOT MAP
The map is an illustration, not a survey. Booth positions are approximate. Use the signs on site and the stewards, not the app, to find your way in an emergency.
WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO
The app does not sell tickets, take payment or process any transaction. Tapping "Not yet" on the first onboarding card opens the festival's ticket page in your browser, where TIXR handles the sale under their own terms. Food and drink at the festival are paid for directly with each vendor - the event is cashless, so bring a card or mobile pay.
HOUSE RULES
Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other people's accounts or our systems.
Do not scrape, copy or redistribute the festival content in the app.
Do not use the app to break the law.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules or harm the service.
NOT SAFETY OR DIETARY ADVICE
The app lists cuisines and a rough vegetarian marker to help you choose. It does not list allergens. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, ask the vendor directly, every time. Do not rely on the app for that.
NOTIFICATIONS
Push notifications are optional and you can turn them off in iOS Settings at any time. We use them for timetable moments and free tastings, nothing else. The app works fully without them.
THE SERVICE, AS-IS
We work hard to keep the app accurate and running, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Times, vendors and the lot plan can change. We may change, pause or discontinue features at any time.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you in connection with the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it - which, since the app is free, is zero. This does not limit our liability for anything that cannot be limited by law.
Liability connected with attending the festival itself is governed by the festival's Ticket Terms & Conditions, not by this document.
THE APP STORE
The app is downloaded from Apple's App Store and licensed to you under Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement. Apple is not a party to these terms, has no obligation to provide support for the app, and is not responsible for the app or for any claim you may have about it. If you have a problem with the app, contact us.
ENDING THINGS
You can stop using the app and delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm the service.
CHANGES
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date above. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the change.
GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any dispute goes to the state or federal courts sitting in New York County.
